The misconceptions about Israel in the world today are vast, commonplace, and widely accepted as truth. Together we will tackle these falsehoods by learning the essential concepts needed to understand Israel, Zionism, and the Jewish people, while also working through the core claims made against Israel’s right to exist, providing the necessary knowledge and skills to challenge those arguments and ultimately show how these specific expressions of anti-Zionism are, in fact, antisemitism.

Becoming an educator in the shadow of terror
Charlotte Korchak, born in Los Angeles, moved to Israel with her family in the year 1997. At the time, the situation in Israel was relatively calm, but that all changed in September of 2000. Charlotte had just turned 13 and her world turned upside down as she found herself living amid the worst terror wave in Israel’s history. Two years of constant violence, the loss of friends to terrorism, and a near-miss, left Charlotte with mild PTSD and hate in her heart. This talk will take you on her journey from hate and confusion to believing in peace and achieving clarity through educating herself and others.

GRILL THE EXPERT:
Answering your toughest questions about Israel

Attendees will learn practical strategies to address common misconceptions and accusations as well as how to navigate discussions on difficult realities.
Unmasking Left-Wing Antisemitism
In recent years, antisemitism has evolved beyond traditional forms, surfacing within progressive movements that often advocate for social justice and human rights. This presentation will explore how left-wing progressive spaces, while rooted in ideals of equality and inclusion, can sometimes perpetuate antisemitic narratives-whether through double standards on Israel, exclusion of Jewish voices from intersectional movements, or the misuse of anti-Zionist rhetoric. We will examine historical and contemporary examples of left-wing antisemitism, discuss its impact on Jewish students and communities, and provide tools for identifying and responding to these challenges effectively.
